COMMUNITY BUILDOUT IN PROGRESS

Hampden County Mesh is a community-organizing effort around local mesh networking, radio learning, field notes, and practical communications in Hampden County.

This site currently maintains a small amount of supporting infrastructure, including a MeshCore Room Observer, a Linux-based MeshCore-Hub, and local tools for logging, checking, and understanding mesh activity.

The broader local mesh ecosystem may include other operators, nodes, observers, and repeaters that are not operated by this site. Part of the goal is to connect with those people, share notes, and help build a clearer local communications community together.

Future live activity tools should help people see nearby mesh activity, understand what may be reachable, and compare notes with others interested in local radio and mesh networking.

A place for people to learn, compare notes, and connect locally.

Hampden County Mesh is focused on practical communications knowledge for Western Massachusetts: local operators, local terrain, casual signal checks, and locally useful information.

The observer, hub, website, and guides are contributions to the broader local mesh and radio ecosystem. They are not the whole network, and they are not meant to replace independent operators or neighboring communities.

The goal is to help people learn what exists nearby, connect with other local operators, and build useful local communications knowledge together over time.
