Guides
Local MeshCore and Meshtastic notes for setup, settings, safe sharing, map tools, channels, and testing around Western Massachusetts.
First steps
Start with one device, the recommended local settings, and a few ordinary test locations: home, a window, a vehicle, a public park, or higher ground nearby.
MeshCore and Meshtastic
Hampden County Mesh supports both MeshCore and Meshtastic. MeshCore is the main setup focus here because it fits the local direction for two-way messaging, fixed nodes, repeaters, rooms, and shared community use.
Meshtastic is still useful for learning LoRa basics, testing antennas and placement, telemetry, portable use, outdoor experiments, and casual participation.
MeshCore Basics
MeshCore basics, local settings, roles, channels, maps, observers, and how to start simply.

These pages are for practical local use: trying a node in different places, reading map tools carefully, and understanding what your device can hear.
MeshMapper is a separate public tool that can be useful for reviewing MeshCore testing around Western Massachusetts.
Community notes
These pages cover the community side: Discord, safe sharing, public updates, and how to ask for help without posting private details.
